Mage: One of the greatest explorations of the conmmon cultural consensus as a theme of individuality and reality-definition versus the oppressive nature of society and the common view? Nonsense. Mage, in fact - not in theory - is actually one of the cheesiest monkeywrenched games that has ever been published, full of drivel, contradictions, wittering, and thousands of excuses for players to act like dickheads of the highest order. All in the name of individuality. It is the stuff of comic books. BAAAAAD comic books. In reality, Mage is in fact a warmed-over version of a superhero game, with a smattering of tuppenny-piece philosophy added to make it all appear to be far more grandiose than it actually is. Dig beneath the veneer of the surface and all you find is more veneer. There's no actual depth to the game, just a lot of buzzwords and cheap secondhand ideas.
