Submission + - ZTE may not be able to use Android operating system in its mobile devices (arstechnica.com)

krazy1 writes: From arsTECHNICA: "The US government is going after another Chinese Android device maker. After shutting down Huawei's carrier deals and retail partners, the government is now pursuing ZTE. The US Department of Commerce has banned US companies from selling parts and software to ZTE for seven years.

ZTE was caught violating US sanctions by illegally shipping telecommunications equipment to Iran and North Korea. The company then made things worse by "making false statements and obstructing justice, including through preventing disclosure to and affirmatively misleading the US Government," according to the Department of Commerce. The company reached a settlement with the government, agreeing to pay up to $1.2 billion in penalties and discipline the employees involved in the sale."

I agree with you and being able to sweat is the key to feeling better. Just like the parent poster: "This is not scientific, just what works for me, YMMV and I won't be held responsible if you up and die from the flu as this is not my official advice."

Please, if you are female, wear something that doesn't show cleavage or mini skirt. This is work place, not your family / friends get together. Hell I would be perfectly happy if all my female co-worker dress like Hilary Clinton. If you are male, shirts and slacks will do, or polo with jeans. Others do have good advice, use your boss as the guild line.

It could be, but it also means that PC manufacturers will need to seriously beef up their Linux support desk, if they are to install Linux as the only OS. It could also lead to more Linux fragmentation similar to Android's (Sense, Touchwiz, Motoblur, ASOP, MiUI...etc.) This is seriously the time to put in some "rules" before anyone can call their implementation Linux.

Actress Sues IMDb For Revealing Her Age 465

Alain Williams writes "An actress has sued Amazon.com for more than $1m (£639,000) after her age was posted on its Internet Movie Database. She says revealing her age on the site will lose her acting opportunities. From the article: 'The lawsuit states: "If one is perceived to be 'over-the-hill,' i.e., approaching 40, it is nearly impossible for an up-and-coming actress, such as the plaintiff, to get work as she is thought to have less of an 'upside,' therefore, casting directors, producers, directors, agents-manager, etc. do not give her the same opportunities, regardless of her appearance or talent."' So is her career dependent on lies?"

In the early days of my work life, I used to be excited about every project I am assigned to do and usually get it done ASAP. However I found out quick that if I get it done early, the stakeholder will change their requirement and I have to rework the whole thing. So I have learned to procrastinate until the last possible moment before the deadline so I don't have to chase a moving target.
