that the individual who published this study (Keith Lea) is the the son of a well known Java advocate and Sun Microsystems consultant (Doug Lea)? I'm not implying that this should in any way taint his results. I just found it interesting that Doug Lea was mentioned in this thread by someone listing the pros of Java, and the connection was never made.
