Canada should do this with their temporary foreign worker program. I predict employers would magically start hiring from the domestic pool of available workers and at competitive wages. (Since that's what happens when you don't have unlimited access to imported indentured slave labor)

The only companies in this fund will be the ones all the big banks passed on because they stink. Knowing wall street, they will probably use this fund to sell all the junk they accidentally funded and use this funds retail buyers liquidity to unload their bags. This fund will likely be a lot of fun to trade while there's volume, but my guess is this will be a huge stinker that loses people a lot of money

You should migrate to another paid email provider with complaints like that... The other possibility is that you're using your email address to sign up for sites that have sold or shared your info with other spammers?

I remember reading all the quiet quiting, and prospective candidates ghosting employers. This is just the market swinging the other direction to a employer's market for hiring. All the below average job seekers will have difficulty finding good patients jobs in their field now that employers have a better pool of candidates to pick from.

In some regards I prefer the nail sticks up gets hammered down approach over the squeaky wheel getting grease approach... I'm also pretty sure school bullies are the dumbasses getting pings on this software. The punishment the kid had to go through seems a bit excessive, but my guess is that she was a huge pain in the ass,and I bet her parents are probably just as dysfunctional. Samsung has been doing this for years with phones running snapdragons SOCs. You had to purchase the phones with the lower end Exynos SOCs. I stopped using Samsung years ago for the same reason. I want to run custom roms and buy Google pixel or devices from other vendors with good custom ROM support. Either way, Samsung must already know their typical user sticks with the provided ROM... So there's no impact to the bottom line taking away custom ROMs for the users who are in the minority

I suppose disabilities come in all forms. Physical, intellectual... My guess is that physically disabled people's commute times are longer. So WFH allowed them more comfort and freedom as well as free time not having to commute. If some people also moved further away, a longer commute time would also not be very fun... (Even non disabled employees are unhappy)...

It's an interesting argument, and I wish them luck . But If Amazon's offices are all wheelchair accessible, I don't think disabled employees have a good chance in getting a return to the office exemption.
