I've always liked SciTE. it works on linux and windows, has context highlighting, and tabs. Everything I need, native operating system shortcuts work, and it looks like the OS theme its on.
I initially figured that this was an attack on FOSS since I was looking up where to install gdm themes and all the linux sites said they were potentially harmful.
Little did I know it was really skynet.
