You're right, there's no disclaimer other than where it says "The Onion is a satirical weekly publication" in the first fucking line of the FAQ, and how the media kit calls it "the world's most popular humor publication".

So, yes, I guess if you had your head lodged wetly in your own rectum you might mistake The Onion for actual news, in which case your anger is both warranted and HILARIOUS.

Real journalists make their livelihoods by checking and reporting verifiable facts. If you report a story from The Onion as fact, you're not only a failure as a journalist but a subliterate moron who deserves nothing better than open mockery and a punch in the balls or other genitals.

p.s. Here's a free piece of advice: the Weekly World News, despite having no disclaimers, is ALSO not real. Bat Boy is not, in fact, fighting alongside American troops in Iraq and Elvis (God rest his soul) really is dead. Hope that helps.
