Hydrogen is not a legitimate source of energy, because too much energy must be put in to separate it from other elements. Hydrogen is therefore an energy carrier or "currency." People have been led to believe that we can use hydrogen to generate new energy when, in reality, it is simply another way to transport and use energy that has been generated by other means.
