Surely, Jeff Bezos can crow about how his New Glenn technically beat Falcon to a landing back on earth surface from space.

Actually, New Glenn has not flown as is still a paper rocket at this point. You mean New Shepard.

Finally last month sending the boss into LEO for 2 minutes.

LEO stands for Low Earth Orbit, all they did is go straight up and back down again which is peanuts compared to actually reach any orbit.

| It does not take hours to fuel a rocket, on a Falcon 9, they only start prop loading 35 minutes before launch. Fair enough, however they specify a payload between 30 and 100 metric tons which is well above the capabilities of a falcon 9 rocket. And to propulsive land that kind of payload you need a big lander with fuel to slow you down and land, eating more into payload capacity. Of course starship could do this and would not require a separate lander but again without any infrastructure you are expending the second stage ignoring the fully reusable specification. So this could work if military bases were equipped with an orbital launch infrastructure but then you are limited to those bases and you cannot deploy the payload "anywhere within an hour". Don't get me wrong, I'm all for more support (I'm a big fan of SpaceX) for starship but it has to make sense in some way. It will be interesting what they will come up with though.

Personally I had to get used to the stalk gear-selector in the Tesla model 3 because European cars all have the gear shifter knob in the middle console (so much for the 'universal car interface'). This took little time to get used to, so I'm sure I will have little problems operating a Tesla without the stalk.

If there is a pressure drop in one of the header tanks, the propellant mix will change. Also, the raptor engines require a certain backpressure to operate. So maintaining pressure is kind of important. The only way (I can imagine) for spaceX to maintain pressure in the header tanks is having fuel flow from the main tanks, since they are not using an inert gas such as helium to maintain pressure. I guess the most simple explanation for the loss of pressure in the methane header tank would be that they ran out of methane.

I think it's worth noting that Waymo indeed serves (existing, no new) customers, however in a 50 square mile radius only. While Tesla have their software running on all cars they sell worldwide. So Waymo cars only work in Phoenix, while Tesla's work basically anywhere. They both have a widely different business case, so I think you have to be very specific on what field exactly Waymo is ahead of Tesla. I think the coming months will be very interesting, seeing a wider deployment of the FSD beta from Tesla and maybe Waymo will be expanding to a 100 mile radius.
