Libertarian political correctness?

I don't know where you got the idea RMS is a libertarian. Even a quick read of TFA should have clarified that point for you. But quoting another interview:

....I'm a Liberal, not a Libertarian.

I think it is good to regulate businesses in any way necessary to protect the general public well-being and democracy. For instance, I support consumer protection laws, which are needed precisely to stop business from imposing on their customers whatever conditions they can get away with in the market. I support rights for workers which companies cannot make their employees sign away. I support the laws that limit the conditions landlords can put in a lease. I support the laws that help employees to unionize and strike.

All in all, I think it is a mistake to defend people's rights with one hand tied behind our backs, using nothing except the individual option to say no to a deal. We should use democracy to organize and together impose limits on what the rich can do to the rest of us. That's what democracy was invented for!

And we should abolish the "free trade" treaties that obstruct the use
of democracy for this purpose.

But then, as others have already stated, you're on the wrong track with PC to begin with.

Google says that's how it works. I've tested it as well (and use it for filtering). From their FAQ.

In my experience, automatic forwarding doesn't always work properly -- say you have firstlast@gmail.com forwarding to realaddress@gmail.com, an e-mail sent to first.last@gmail.com may not come over.

I wonder if "dots don't count" wasn't always their policy, and whoever has your doppelganger account was somehow grandfathered in.

California Legislature Approves Trial Program For Electronic Plates 185

Do you worry that the widespread use of plate-scanning cameras might be used in ways that violate your privacy ? Now you can ratchet your worry level up a bit: Ars Technica reports that "This week, the California State Senate approved a bill that would create the nation’s first electronic license plate. Having already passed the state’s assembly, the bill now goes to Gov. Jerry Brown (D) for his signature." From the article: "The idea is that rather than have a static piece of printed metal adorned with stickers to display proper registration, the plate would be a screen that could wirelessly (likely over a mobile data network) receive updates from a central server to display that same information. In an example shown by a South Carolina vendor, messages such as 'STOLEN,' 'EXPIRED,' or something similar could also be displayed on a license plate. ... The state senator who introduced the bill, Sen. Ben Hueso, a Democrat who represents San Diego, did not respond to Ars' multiple requests for an interview or comment. It still remains unclear as to exactly why this bill was proposed and what its objectives are. The precise technical details of the program are similarly unclear, as is how long plate information would be retained and who would have access to it."

Iran Unveils Its Own Stealth Fighter Jet, the Qaher F-313 260

An anonymous reader writes "Iran has unveiled a new home-made combat aircraft, which officials say can evade radar. The single-seat Qaher F313 (Dominant F313) is the latest design produced by Iran's military since it launched the Azarakhsh (Lightning), in 2007. President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad said it had 'almost all the positive features' of the world's most sophisticated jets.Footage from state TV showed the jet in flight, but not its take-off or landing."
