While I agree the thought of net neutrality sounds good, think about the NSA scandle. We can't trust the NSA. What makes anyone think they can trust the FCC to do things right? It is the same government. You can't have it both ways.

1) Launch Terminal
2) sudo ipfw add 1000 deny all from any to 176.58.100.37
3) Enter Your Password

Just what we need, more "Japanese are unique" idiocy to justify racism and discrimination in Japan. So far we've heard that "Japanese intestines are longer, so Japanese can't eat foreign beef", "Japanese brains are unique, so only Japanese people can speak the Japanese language." and so on, all of which are supported by pseudo-scientific studies such as this one.

This sort of incomplete research just feeds the view of racial uniqueness (and superiority) among Japanese and justifies their racism and discrimination against others.

Don't forget that only Japanese kids can pilot giant robots.

The only think that broke me away from a 4 year World of Warcraft addiction was a long vacation. After spending two weeks in Japan, I realized that I didn't need WoW and was missing out on a whole world real life adventure. The only other thing I can think of is a girlfriend but that isn't likely to happen given your friend never leaves the computer. Vacation away from home is your best bet.

Last summer I upgraded the network at Corp HQ to 802.11n. I decommisioned every 10/100 Ethernet switche and disconnected all ports. For the backbone of the new network, I installed new Gigabit Switches connected by fiber. On each floor I connected Apple Airport Extreme Base Stations running 802.11n @ 5Ghz and an Apple 1GB Time Capsule. Each plugged into the Gigabit backbone. Everyone in the company got either a MacBook, 15" MacBook Pro, or 24" iMac depending on their needs and our 7 year old Linux servers were replaced with 2 Apple Xserves. Every system connects to the 802.11n network. Network authentication is handled through RADIUS on the Xserve and encryption is handled by a Fortress Technology appliance with 256bit AES encryption. We replaced the 15/2 Business Cable connection with a 50/20 Business FIOS. I've had no issues except stupid users, everyone is connecting at 300Mbps, and everyone loves the speediness of all the LAN services and the Internet. I'm glad to be rid of the Ethernet.

One of my older desktop machines blue-screens if I use my phone in close proximity. I also have some older monitors that show effects EM effects when the phone rings. I don't think claims that cell phones can possibly disrupt the working of electronic equipment ridiculous all. I've seen what phones can do first hand to my own equipment.
