It's true the gap financing ran out, but if you'll remember something happening with the economy at that point? A bunch of... what's it called... lack of available credit? And with Astro being an independent animated film, it was hit the hardest. Once financing was back in place the majority of the crew came back, and finished it. Sound designer Richard Anderson (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and composer John Ottman (Usual Suspects) were hired and the film finished in style. See it, and then judge.

Eurogamer is reporting on comments from the Bungie website. A feature for the upcoming Halo 3, that they've just announced, will be most welcomed by aging FPS players tired of hearing high-pitched squeals through their headsets. When playing an online match, players will be able to hit a button and then choose one of the gamertags playing the game. The result: a total mute on that player for the remainder of the game. They don't mention it on the site, but one would hope the Xbox Live servers are taking metrics on this activity, to be used in calculating the player's reputation. The more you mouth off, the worse you look to future players. Anyone have some other feature they think might make online gaming better?

One thing I think we'll all overlooking is that the heatsink for this devkit is half the size of the G5 this proc has replaced. I've been using a 1.8 G5 for a year and when I saw the picture I just about fell over. I had NO IDEA there was that much room in the case.

I suppose that's the whole point of the switch to Intel, huh?
