and what environment would you rather work in when the viruses hit? I've been in two types of shops: those that run outlook and collapse every 2-3 months for a couple days at a time when a virus goes around, or in the kind that don't run outlook (say Lotus or something else) and don't have to worry about viruses.

Comes with an adapter to download CF & SM media onto it. It's rather sweet and let's you preview the images on the device and as a bonus stores your mp3's (Pimsleur language tapes for learning local languages as you travel) and ripped dvd's (for those long plane & train rides).

Make sure you have all the adapters so you can recharge it via local outlets & voltages.

Traveling the world as a geek does rule. As geeks our major problem is we try to generalize our lives to NOT ENOUGH DATA. Travel gives you enormous quantities of data - especially if you blend in with the local travels. You learn so much about the world and when you come home and apply it to your own world - the possibilities are unlimited.

Journal Journal: Hasseblad X-Pan

Just bought a new camera - Hasselbad X-PAN. Hasselblad Site has some info about it. Whole unit was about $3500, including the 30 mm lenses which is a collector's item right now. Also bought a new light meter for 500. Can't wait for a clear day so I can use this - very excited!

Journal Journal: age of mythology 1

It's been a long time since I was hooked on a video game, and played until 2 or 3 am. Age of Mythology is such a game though. I feel like I'm back in college, where time had no meaning and I could stay up until any hour and just missing class the next day never mattered...since I never went anyway.
Screw this. I need to destroy this CD and uninstall from my computer. I can't afford to spend my time like this anymore.
