Now listen here, I am one of the 180,000 or so people in the Northern Territory. Far out, 180000 people is no one? Remarkable! So its empty except for Darwin and mining villages? Is that why there is Alice Springs which has around 70,000 people? I wouldn't call that a village. I hate to say it but we do have people so we do need services. Nearly every National ISP has a PoP in the Northern Territory, we have access to Telstra ADSL in most of the Darwin suburbs, damn, we even have power and running water! *sarcasm*
