You make a lot of inflammatory remarks. (You must work for a company that doesn't have an MPLS product and is getting clobbered. ;-)) Try and get your facts straight. For one thing, QoS is all about determining "who gets screwed the least and who gets screwed the most". Unless you have some network media that can magically create bandwidth it is all about sharing what is available and prioritizing traffic. Any QoS mechanism works that way. The only way to prevent(?) it is to use some form of Admission Control, but then doesn't the user that tries to get some bandwidth and can't get any get really "screwed"? What are you talking about vendors' implementations don't work??? Our company uses MPLS and we love it. As for the rest of your drivel, about MPLS being the X.25 of the 90's hey maybe if you weren't such an "Anonymous Coward" we could discuss it.
