Google Jobs in NYC

Comments Filter:
  • when I have js turned on and see ads, and being in georgia and all and how all that IP nonsense works with targeted advertising, google sometimes shows they are hiring in atlanta as well, FWIW.
  • Have you or anyone else reading this actually tried to apply for the positions? I did. Not for the engineering but let me say that it is all "automated." It really does not make you feel good about yourself. It's too cold. They don't really get it. That's all I'm sayin'.
    • No, I like the job that I have, and New York is not that interesting to me. DC, maybe - depends on some things, well, not related to the job itself. :-) But I like where I am, both in terms of the job and the area.

I think that Google is too big, these days, to really get it. It's only small organizations, or small autonomous groups within larger organizations, that really do.
      • I agree with you. I did not make myself very clear on my original post. Google doesn't do anything human any longer. You will be up against a computer program as to why you are more special than the next guy. It's a shame. I really believe that they have forgotten where they came from. They are not open to new ideas. *sigh* I'm not surprised.
    • I did, but for engineering.... Got up to three phone interviews, and then an email that I wasn't good enough. Whatever.
  • I was an engineer for three years before I realized it had nothing to do with trains.
