Who has deleted journal entries recently?

Comments Filter:
  • I haven't deleted any, but in retrospect (this has been done to death), if someone deletes a JE, I'm now more inclined to just give them the "benefit of the doubt" and assume that there's a good reason for it (not that they need my approval anyway - its their journal).

In such cases (JE deletions), its better to be discrete and not draw attention to it. The whole "do unto others" golden rule :-) Unless, of course, they point it out themselves (like LP) and say "get it while its hot".

    • Doesn't really matter. Just curious as to who it was. I'm less inclined to comment in someone's journal who makes a practice of it without warning in advance (as sillypixie has done with some of hers individually, and as leons did en masse). But that's my issue, and I don't expect anyone else to take it into consideration.

I would like to know if someone is preparing an exit. And once one deletes JEs with comments, discreet is pretty much gone anyway.
      • you're writing your comments on someone else's barn wall.

it's ephemereal. Be prepared for deletion.

I never know when i'll delete mine.

Didn't this time, but could tomorrow, it depends on a whole lot of things that likely won't happen and everything will be fine.

        • Hmmm. I'm not sure that you took my point. I was intending to say only that, if I have reason to believe that barn wall is ephemeral, then I am less likely to write on it. I am not suggesting that anyone else modify their behavior, only describing mine. My feelings on it are my own, and not something I am asking anyone else to take into account.

As far as the "barn wall" analogy is concerned, it works as a rhetorical device, but it's a fundamentally inaccurate way of describing the interaction that o
          • knowing that you consider it that way makes it more likely, not less, that i will delete it.

Blame who you will, you are still a part of this, and it's more involvement, not less, that is usually the solution.

            • Blame? Where did you get that? I'm describing my feelings, thoughts, and actions. If I think that someone's actions are rude, that is my opinion, not (necessarily) a fault of theirs. We have a wide variety of expectations here.

...it's more involvement, not less, that is usually the solution.

Working on it (the poetry doesn't count for that, really - different sort of involvement). A bit much RL stuff going on just now, but that should be subsiding before long.

have you posted to leo's petrakiakzikaiaksdjzfizis's je's? he's switched to a new account and deleted his old je's. why? i don't know.

    hi john. :D
    • Hi, Rob. How's married life? :-)

I never did much posting in LP's journal, but it was actually Koria's comment total that I noticed. She lost four in the last day or two. I'm not going to get all upset about it, but I'm curious as to who it was.
  • I deleted a JE that pointed to a now-defunct EBay auction. But there was no comments on it so I didn't cause you to drop. :-)
