I have been using Windows 8 for 6 months... if you take 2 minutes to learn a few new things, it is really no big deal.
- The Windows key on the keyboard brings you to the start screen, so now you don't need a start button
- When you need to get to a Windows setting of some sort, just go the start screen and start typing whatever you are thinking, and you will probably see what you need
- When using a keyboard and mouse, just don't use Metro apps and you won't even notice it, it just feels like a faster Windows 7
If people can't accept a few new things, then yeah, it will bomb... but really, it is just a few new things
