Comment Re:Management is a myth (Score 1) 249

HAHAHA. Spoken by someone who has never tried to do anything bigger than a website most likely. It's a human made thing because it WORKS! Sometimes it works better, sometimes it works worse. And hierarchies are certainly found in nature. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominance_hierarchy Management is just a rational form, that doesn't depend on just brute strength.

The MPCV holds 4 astronauts, is currently capable of 3-week missions, and not only could take mankind to new frontiers but is billed as being "10 times safer... than the current space shuttle." Maybe there is hope for space travel outside the X Prize."

"We know that people's emotional states affect their judgments and that happy people are more likely to judge an ambiguous situation positively. What our study has shown is that this applies similarly to dogs," said professor Mike Mendl, an author of the study and head of animal welfare and behavior at Bristol University.

Best eSATA JBOD? 210

redlandmover writes "I already have an HP Media Server (upgraded processor, and memory) that has already been upgraded internally to 3.5TB. I'm sure everyone already has their favorite backup solution (RAID, WHS, a billion external hard drives, etc). My question is: what is the best JBOD (Just a Bunch of Drives), eSATA-connected, external hard drive enclosure? (Preferably, at least 4 drives.)"
