OK - my son was an observer and he said that the problems were: Each "candidate" coordinator were given a card. The groups get together in the corners of the room. An initial count was to be written on the front of the card. Then the viability (15%) count was determined and persons supporting candidates were then supposed to move to their second choice. Then the coordinator was to write that count on the back of the card. One problem is that some non-viable candidate coordinators left with their cards so the site didn't have those numbers after the first round. Then other people left and that made the numbers look crazy. Then.... then they were supposed to report the numbers on the front and back of the cards via the app. 1. They did have "paper records" 2. The app - while it had problems with connection (crap wi-fi and/or volunteers with little or no data plan.. and different versions /quality of mobile devices. 3. The counts were all over the place because... yes I know for IT people... crap procedures. This is the last Iowa "caucus". Which is going to be bad for their winter economy as it brings in "millions" of dollars every four years for Iowa. They will struggle to fix it so they can keep the money flowing.

I knew that the company was going to have problems when the MBA's in management decided to move the HQ for Boeing to Chicago so that it split the difference in travel time between Seattle and NYC (and their three-martini lunches). Same as what happened at HP and Microsoft, once the marketers and MBAs took over the engineers were shoved to the background. So that results in bad designs, bad implementation, and bad oversight. The MBA's need to be fired and the engineers need to run the company. Then things will get back on track.

Many people predicted that Boing's reputation would take a serious hit from crashes like the Max after management decided to move HQ to Chicago and away from directly interacting with the Seattle area engineering talent. CEO wanted shorter trips back to NYC to access the banks and so they split the difference. Problem is that now they had 1500 miles from being able to hear the truth about their machines. The 787 has been another example. They need to move HQ back to Seattle and fix the corporate culture. They broke it... they need to fix it.

And I hate to ruin your fantasy, but many judges in the state courts don't get 6 figure salaries. You need to read President Kennedy's inauguration address or move to Somalia where you can be totally free (and everyone else is to shoot and kidnap you).

Another vote here for PDF X-Change Viewer. No problems for years using it. No crashing. No mess with all the extra Adobe junk. Just upgraded to the Viewer Pro for $40 USD to get the editing capability. No need to spend all the $$$$'s that Adobe wants for their extended edition unless you want a program that crashes.

Ghostery has been a good alternative to Adblock on Chrome for me. I like the controls they provide.

Geez - for a bunch of smart people haven't you heard of a DVR (aka Tivo)? I haven't watched commercials in years (except for a few during live football games and even then I usually read during that time) because you can zap past them. A technical solution to a problem?
