Unlike other CSS books that teach you the specifics of CSS with vague examples (not vague in a bad way), this book teaches you specific examples and gives you extra resources. This book is somewhat of a cookbook of commonly used CSS methods. Traditionalists can go on and shed a tear, as it looks like we've found yet another suitable replacement for the tried and true newspaper. Of course, this DIY creation isn't apt to replace the existing iterations anytime soon, but for those not interested in leaving the house to fetch a paper, here's your solution. Crafted from an old newspaper box and utilizing a 17-inch LG Flatron LCD, a few nuts and bolts, a Mac mini, speaker system, and a fair amount of software tweaking, this digital newsstand flips through headlines in addition to cycling through slideshows, playing videos, and streaming audio. Sonnet's mainly popped up onto our radar for its various iPod accessories, but the company also has quite a few other products up its sleeve, to which it's now added a pair of new RAID storage systems. Boasting support for up to four and eight drives, respectively, the Sonnet Fusion D400 and D800 systems each come bundled with a PCI Express RAID host adapter, which will let you set 'em up in your choice of RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 10, 50, or JBOD configurations. Fully loaded, the D800 will give you a maximum 6TB of storage, although you can just buy one empty and pop in additional drives as needed (or pop out, as it's fully hot-swappable). Look for it to set you back just over $2,000, with the D400 a comparative bargain at around $660.

A new genetic test targeting the most common types of muscular dystrophy -- those caused by mutations in the dystrophin gene -- is far quicker with greater accuracy and sensitivity than existing tests. It can be used to confirm clinical diagnoses, to test female family members who may be carriers, and to perform prenatal testing.
