The internet isn't required. Hospital Helpdesk, First insurance is verified over the internet through the EMR, although it usually is done through an interface and not a website, Medical records from one location to another have to be done through the internet, as not everyone goes to a hospital in the same network as their normal doctor. Xrays might be done by a third party in the hospital which then has to be transmitted to the hospitals EMR system. Doctors have to remote in many times to do billing and transcribing, usually the EMR is accessible behind citrix and 2fa. Yes less internet is good, but the amount of stuff nurses access that are external to the company, billing, medicare, other site EMR data, training, video conferencing with language interpreters. However we made many changes after a breach last year from phishing, adding 2fa to outside logins, enabled bitlocker to go (for flashdrives) as default, and using management profiles for mobile devices incase they are lost/stolen they can be wiped

with the price of new drives not falling, maybe the used market has gotten bigger. i know back around the year 2000 at the super computer sales i swear i saw a bin of drives that got ripped out of stolen computers (looks like they were well used and abused and the seller looked like a drug dealer).

Or maybe people dont want to pay for new drives and are resorting to just stealing from places that have a large supply.

At least some companies still make games that run decent on older hardware even if they dont meet minimum system requirements.

I got a 2.0Ghz P4 Dell, with 1Gb RAM and an ATI 9550 256Mb AGP Video card.

Now this is SLOW, but for some damn mirical i can still average around 25-30fps in CoD4 with 64 people playing, and what i love even more is that even with full lage from a bittorent download as long as you shoot at what you see you will hit your target, it seams no matter what the lag of the game is the hitbox is always spot on. Now with other ganes like HALO for the PC the more the lag the further in front of your target you have to shoot, so if you want to headshot someone with 300ms ping then you have to put the rifle dot about a foot and a half infront of there face (game distance not screen).

I wish more games would be like CoD4 as even with low graphic settings on this old machine, it is still beautiful and yet my pc still plays it at a decent speed.
