So the goal of "open format" has been achieved. Good news! The goal of "eliminate Microsoft" has not been achieved. I guess that's the danger of using "Open formats" as a code phrase for "eliminate Microsoft". Sometimes you get what you ask for, rather than what you (furtively) want. So sad, too bad.
