I think the real problem is we forget the bad movies from when we were young. It is easy to remember the great movies but there were a lot of very bad movies made in the seventies. In fact I would say that the worst era for movies was the 60's and 70's. I am 50 now and as a whole I think movies are much better now

Marge Simpson Poses For Playboy 413

caffiend666 writes "'Marge Simpson is posing for Playboy . The magazine is giving the star of The Simpsons the star treatment, complete with a data sheet, an interview and a 2-page centerfold. 'We knew that this would really appeal to the 20-something crowd,' said Playboy spokeswoman Theresa Hennessey. Playboy even convinced 7-Eleven to carry the magazine in its 1,200 corporate-owned stores, something the company has only done once before in more than 20 years." Worst issue ever!

Nationwide Domain Name/Yard Sign Conspiracy 324

robertjmoore writes "Everywhere I go lately, I see these lawn signs that say "Single?" and then give a URL with my town's name in it. Being a huge business intelligence geek with too much time on my hands, I decided to track down who was behind them and wound up uncovering ten thousand domain names, a massively coordinated and well-funded guerilla marketing machine, and the $45 Million revenue business hiding behind it all. Hot off the presses, these are my findings."

YouTube Passes Yahoo As #2 Search Engine 125

Dekortage writes "According to the latest ComScore rankings, YouTube's search traffic for August surpassed Yahoo's. The latter dropped roughly 5% in traffic from July. Among other things, this means that Google now owns both of the top two search engines. AdAge further speculates on Google's experimental 'promoted videos' cost-per-click advertising on YouTube, suggesting the obvious: more money."

It might not technically be stealing but it has the same affect. It is admirable to not buy the things you love on principle. That is a sacrifice for something you believe in. On the other hand it is the epitome of hypocrisy to pretend that you are boycotting these product when in reality you are just to cheap to pay for them.
