The BBC frequently piss the politicians off. They caused the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Kelly scandal which resulted in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hutton_Inquiry, which was then published by the director general http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Dyke which pissed off so many people, he was forced to resign.
