Jim is one of the principle authors of the X Window System. He edited the HTTP/1.1 specification in the IETF, helped bring Linux to handheld devices, and worked on the OLPC system. Jim's interests and experience span handheld computing, systems design and implementation, collaborative systems, teleconferencing, and distributed systems.
