We the geeks may go back (well, I already did) but I suspect ad blockers are used by a small minority so I am not sure it would make a difference.

I am a happy user of Firefox. I switched from Chrome because it was the only truly cross platform browser (Windows, Linux, OSX and Android) with support for uBlock origin and a good enough password manager. I would not want to see it disappear.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this assumes some malicious configuration on the .ml side (MX records and SMTP server accepting the user mentioned in the To: header)? So how can a "steady flow of emails" exist? How could the guy collect so many emails? The article is paywalled so I could not get any details. In any case, sending unencrypted confidential data over email is not a good idea. If only email encryption was easier to use from an end user's perspective...

A digital signature inserted by the camera/phone could help tell authentic and manipulated pictures apart. Although, as was said in other posts, there is really no such thing as an authentic digital photograph to begin with...

I agree, also note an important point: you benefit from most features (including ad block) on all the usual platforms - Linux, Windows, OSX *and* Android. I moved away from Chrome long ago for this reason (no ad block on Android).

I recently bought a Sony HT-A9. It has a separate volume control on the remote for the REAR channels, which is good (depending on your room setup you may sit closer or farther from the rear speakers). However, it provides NO option whatsoever to adjust the level of the CENTER channel, and that's VERY bad. Mr. Sony, please update the firmware of the HT-A9 and add some channel balance control!
