Comment Let me have my glasses (Score 1) 68

If Google had a backbone during the Google Glass years the world would be much different today, and by that, I mean for the better. My sight is turning to shit and so is my memory. I, for one, more than welcome recording all aspects of my life as I see fit. I am and live in the US and I'm delighted we don't have privacy anywhere in the constitution and that in most states (if not all, recording, if I'm not mistaken, is a First Amendment right) video recording of any kind is allowed - and yes, I'm not just talking about all the millions of security cameras that we have in public and private places, but also all the million of Instagram and TikTok users that use a way more powerful set of cameras on their phones to record on a daily basis, tourists included. I am now wary of those that fly the flag of privacy when in fact what they want to do is shut you down, kill your self-expression and speech. I say bring it on. I can record you and you can record me. As long as I can ask my AI where I left my keys and I don't have to kill myself looking for them, I'm ok with it. if you can make a few bucks with my looks, let me know, so that with this new found epiphany I may now do the same.

Comment Palm vs. Nokia (Score 1) 154

I already know that Nokia is dropping the ball in terms of strategy and you can read more about that here:
http://jmarinez.blogspot.com/

But what I really would like to know is how people receive the new Treo 650 when compared to Nokia's 7610? Both companies have a substantial developer community, but the user interface and experience is different on these two devices. Is the world tested T9 text input system better or worst than the QWERTY keyboard on the Treos? Is a megapixel camera adequate for today's carrier networks (GPRS/EDGE or 1XRTT) or is a VGA camera the way to go?

Thanks.
