As a cyclist, I appreciate this sort of thing. I've become quite adept at judging the size, speed, and position of cars passing my from behind based on the noise they make. That information is invaluable in telling me if I need to face plant in the ditch to keep from becoming a smear on someone's bumper. Vehicles that make no noise remove that critical source of information that those of us who use the roads while not encased in glass cocoons have come to rely upon.
