Wolfram reminds me very much of Roger Schank, with whom I worked for a number of years. Roger is very, very arrogant, but his AI work in the '70s and early '80s was a cut above what else was going on at that time. He has now faded into oblivion in the AI world, and I believe his personality flaws are somewhat to blame for this. It's too bad.
