Submission + - DigiCert Revoking Certs with Less Than 24 Hours Notice (digicert.com)

jdastrup writes: Due to a mistake going back years that has recently been discovered, DigiCert is required by the CABF to revoke any certificate that used the improper Domain Control Validation (DCV) CNAME record in 24 hours. This could literally be thousands of SSL certs. This could take a lot of time and potentially cause outages worldwide starting July 30 at 19:30 UTC. Be prepared for a long night of cert renewals. DigiCert support line is completely jammed.

Your logic is wrong. Try an experiment. Change Gas Stove to Guns. If you read an article called "No One is Coming for Your Guns Anytime Soon.", and then a law came about that you could no longer buy guns, it would be clear that yes, they are coming for your guns, and this new law is just the beginning. And if you say Guns and Gas Stoves are completely different because X and Y..., actually, no, according to the NY crowd, guns and gas stoves are basically the same thing as they both kill innocent people, so surely something must be done.

Yeah. And F1 racecars will be replaced with cars right of your local Ford dealer lots. Just because "in some ways" phones can take pictures doesn't mean they can do everything a dedicated camera can do. Nor will they ever. If a hire a wedding photographer and they show up with an iPhone to take the pictures, they will be fired on the spot.

They should be using something that could actually modify the orbit of the satellite either forcing it outside of earths gravity on a trajectory for the sun.

Actually, launching anything into the sun is extremely difficult. It takes speeds of at least 65K mph to counteract Earth's orbit in order to hit the sun and not just end up in an elliptical orbit. It's easier to send something outside of the solar system at just 25K mph.

Subscribers know it's doomed, but who cares? I'm saving dozens of dollars a month and so I'll take advantage of it while I can. The important thing is MoviePass has proved to other companies that the subscription model is promising. You already do it with TV, music, streaming movies, etc. Now AMC has announced a subscription program for $20/month you get 3 movies a week. That's a great deal. As soon as MoviePass goes belly-up, I'll move over to AMC's plan.

Do I think that some borderline films could benefit from a "kids" edit? Sure. Do I think it should happen without the input of the originators of a work? No.

Wow. So content creators should decide what you watch, and not you. That has got to be the most insane thing I've ever heard. I suppose if you have never pressed FFW or REW for any reason whatsoever, then you're not a hypocrite. We get it, you disagree with the reason VidAngel's customers are fast forwarding, rewinding and muting, but to say that their reason is wrong? Wow.
