Your are absolutly correct
I generally consider myself to be very intelligent, however i did absolutly NOTHING in high school. In fact, i did not even meet the states graduation requirements (I technically failed 1 too many english courses, but the teacher let it slide and gave me a C)
I know full well why I didnt get good grades, just as all the other kids who get consitant bad grades do, in my case, i just didnt do anything, didnt come to school half the time, and got away with murder because i fixed everything in the school and because me and a friend ran just about all technical aspects of the school's theater.
The important thing (in my oppinion) to remember is this: although doing well in high school is obviously preferrable, it is in no way, shape or form a judgement of your skills, intelligence, or attitude. The only way a bad attitude gets you bad grades is if your additude is equally bad towards doing the work (as in my case)
It does not take any amount of intelligence to do well in high school. jjust a lot of work. Some of the stupidest people ive ever known did great in high school, because they had a much better work eith then i did
I've done much better in college, and I pride myself in absolutly ecceling in my job, where i am dedicated to doing whatever work is nessesary.
