So you're saying that Google, a for profit public company with a singular responsibility to its shareholders, is abusing its position in the market (of which it supposedly controls 80%, IANAL but sound like monopoly to me) to push advertisers on its platform to pay more money for prime spots they're not willing to pay for and users don't want to see? Sounds tough but reality is it's their right and they're not expected to do anything different, they're just doing their jobs. Meanwhile, I get a Buzzfeed ad when I search for the times. Hopefully that never happens, but then again there was a time I thought I'd never ads in my inbox.

Let's face reality here. Even if Facebook were already doing it we would have no way of knowing about it and a total of no one would notice. I almost want them to do it because honestly somebody needs to do something about this Trump situation before we reach the no-turning-point. It would set a dangerous precedent and one I don't even want to entertain, but I'm wondering if this situation doesn't warrant such a precedent.

You have to almost admire their approach. They're about the only company in the world that can make a three-year turnover cycle for phones sound good and environmental-friendly. Remember when Google committed to a two-year major update cycle for Nexus and some people were like "WHAT!! Just two years?? But that's nowhere near enough for a Nexus!!". I'm betting Apple's customers are actually happy with this bit of news. Four years for a computer though!! Are you kidding me??
