Comcast still is able to charge you more for having your own modem by forcing data caps on it. Currently in my area, if you want unlimited data you can get their "premium" modem/router that will tell you when your daughter's boyfriend is sneaking in for an extra $20, or $30 a month to add it to a modem you already own (is your daughter safe though?). They did give everyone unlimited data due to the pandemic briefly, but since the pandemic is over they can charge $10 per 50 GB again.

How can removing any choice and taking full control over a system create trust. I'm not a huge fan of all the information that Google has, but I trust them a hell of a lot more than I would the Iranian government. Control trust.
