When will lawmakers learn? Or are they getting paid by large hotel chains?
Way more positive economic dynamics happen if you let every apartment/home owner be free to rent as they please. Let the market decide.
Long term more jobs will be generated as wealth is organically moved from centralized hotel chains (controlled by a few) to a broad market of lower-income families. These families not only rent their properties, they also hire maids to cleanup, pay utility bills, and such.
If it gets to a point where long-term rent goes up, so be it, it's a sign that people need to move to lower-cost areas, which in itself will create more Real Estate opportunities outside the city, lowering costs in those areas and increasing quality of life.
Is it so hard to understand that economic freedom (and freedom in general) is what truly made de U.S. great???
