Opera Mini 4 never let me post anything on slashdot.org. I always got the 'cat your tongue' message, hence this test. You can safely disregard this journal if I manage to get it posted.

Yep. Slashdot. used to be fine without Javascript. Now, not only is it all AJAXy, but it's only AJAXy, and the AJAX bits don't work very well :-(

That's the workaround I use myself. However for commenting, it's different. Oh, well, if they want less user input ;-)

CT has always been annoyed by the users. As much as 'we' game the system, did it ever occur to anyone that he's gaming us?

Classic software mistake: designing for the designers instead of the users. One would think that we would be past this by now, but it happens over and over.

The old user interface is surely somewhere down there, buried in the code. You just have to find it.
