Nokia Releases Qt 4.6 6

Lawand writes "Nokia today released Qt 4.6, the latest version of the cross-platform application and UI framework. Featuring new platform support, powerful new graphical capabilities and support for multi-touch and gestures, and this is the first release to include significant code contributed from the community. This release introduces support for the Symbian platform with integration for the S60 framework, expanding the addressable market for Qt applications by over 130 million Symbian devices."

And another called "Shazam." You hit the "tag" button, and it records about 10 seconds of whatever song is playing in your vicinity. Then it looks up the song in a database and tells you the artist and song title.

How cool is that? I know of no other device on the market that can duplicate this functionality, let alone the usability.

Well you haven't been looking that hard then. Pretty much every mid-level Sony Ericsson has had the same functionality baked in for the last year or so. http://www.sonyericsson.com/product/trackid/

Plus, at least in the UK, you can call Shazam from any handset for a small fee

Toshiba may be gearing up release an own-brand Xbox 360 with a built-in HD DVD drive, a senior executive from the company has apparently claimed.
