I am not clueless for exactly the same reason - because i am lazy. I don't want to die after reinstalling windooze 20% of my lifetime.
That lame excuse for an OS spoiled whole generations... they will never be able to use a computer.
And the windows-methadone (kde, gnome, [insert popular and unusable windowmanager here]) doesn't make anything better. Think about compiz-fusion... i say looks nice - from afar. but who uses that? - YOU don't count, i bet you drive a car which is a wreck at the first bumper.
