So what is the answer? Just give up completely and let our corporate overlords have their way with us? I don't trust Comcast, Time-Warner or any of them as far as I can spit a dead rat. At least with a politician in the middle there is some visibility into what's going on and the (however small) opportunity to fire the asshole.
