Re:daylight savings time is stupid (Score 1)

Seems like every time Congress has to "do something to save energy", they fiddle with DST. Does anybody ever show how much energy this actually saves? Using a recent study, based on modern buildings that have shaded windows and fluorescent lights running all the time, as opposed to factories lit by skylights, which was probably what they invented this for? My guess is we'd save a lot more energy by requiring everyone to carpool one day a month. But we can't do that, that would be too inconvenient. So we do this instead...
