local backups of data. IMHO, anyone who relies on online storage as a sole means of backup is a fool. I think we tend to forget that every company, even the biggies, are run by human beings and human beings screw up. I personally have overwritten backup tapes with critical data on them or deleted history files needed for year-end reports. Hotmail is no different.
