Christopher was born in the United States and his passion for music, technology, languages, and art developed at an early age. In the 80's, he began tinkering with the Commodore 64 and progressed to the Macintosh 128, at which point he began making audio cassette covers for his musical projects and writing simple games in BASIC. in 1994, at age 18, he wrote a rock opera entitled Jonah's Mission. He sang and played in several musical groups and continued his activity throughout college where, while studying for a computer science degree, he served as the webmaster and vice president of the college radio station and music activities coordinator for an music honors fraternity. In 2001, he launched the first organized rock music portal in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. PittsburghRock.com and then grew his network, Jonah Media, to include PittsburghHipHop.com, and JonahHost, which allowed musicians to create their own websites, and 'Burgh Wars, where website users could vote on their favorite artists, teams, and venues
