Actually, Senator Byrd should be protecting national interests just like the fine representatives from the other 49 states that have protected all of our interests by diverting billions (if not trillions) of dollars to their respective states underprivileged defense industries. As you may have guessed I am originally from WV and quite thankful that I received an excellent education from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Unfortunately, I had to move to the Washington, DC suburbs to get a good job. The NRAO at Greenbank is chump change compared to the gushers of money flowing to the beltway bandits around DC. Greenbank at least has a chance of contributing something. The flag waving defense industry leeches that infest the DC area only serve to enrich themselves and employ their retired military lackeys.
