insanecarbonbasedlif's Journal: Entries for the Woot "Night" Shirt derby

So, to minimize the spamming, I thought I'd wait until I was sure I'd submitted all the shirts I might design for a given derby. This week's theme is night, and elicited four designs from me (showed in the order that I thought of and created them).

• Attraction
• Dark Knight Looking for a Fight In Moonlight
• People's Movement for The Night
• Pixel into the 8-bit night (Pegasus constellation)

Again, I'm pretty low on the votes, but it's a lot of fun coming up with the designs, and posting them to see which ones people respond more to. Please let me know your thoughts, and if you see a way to improve them, let me know as well! Thanks!

Thanks - It actually took the least effort to make of the four, but I think it's the one of the four I would wear the most if I had them all.

I like all of these to a degree. Supported only by my uninformed opinion, I prefer:

1. People's Movement for The Night - like the colors and movement; small white stars are a nice touch
2. Pixel into the 8-bit night
3. Attraction - I like this, but it took me a while to figure it out; the symmetry confused me somehow
4. Dark Knight at Looking for a Fight In Moonlight - nothing really wrong with it, but it wouldn't attract my attention

Yeah, I really like the white stars on People's Movement - I think it really adds a spark to the whole image. I'm wondering if I made Attraction too subtle, color choice wise, and if brighter colors might have been easier to parse and more attractive. The Dark Knight is a character I used to draw in high school, and I just threw it in the competition not expecting mass appeal...
