Hi Tom, I work for an SEO company. Thanks for your comments clarifying the situation as Lycos. Thanks too for your efforts to make Overture listings clearly identified as sponsored, as that is indeed one of the sore points in the Net community. Our clients benefit greatly from the targeted clickthroughs generated from their Overture listings, but I believe it's in everyone's best interests for those listings to be clearly labeled and separated from "free" listings. Also, thanks for pointing out that paid-inclusion doesn't guarantee anything for those URLs beyond guaranteed indexing. Pages still need to be optimized properly to show up well in the results rankings, but for clients with rapidly changing content they need that regular "refresh" to maximize our optimization efforts. --Don Baker
