impengo's Journal: Media Blitz, or Normal news cycle? War on Drugs 06_08_08

A casual glance at the news just for Colombia is astounding. Free Trade agreement with Canada. Diplomatic relations with Ecuador. A more normal story in the LA Times about an arms shipment being disrupted. Someone is cracking down on kidnapping. Britain is getting in on the act in a very high profile way, with Prince William working interdiction. The drug dealers are so hard up they are using submarines that are getting caught. Either this is a heck of a media blitz, or are seeing a full court press in the war on drugs. This makes me a happy child:-)
