The problems as I see it are as follows;
a) Security (not through obscurity) - like - duh - not plaintext and with ssl, and GPLed (or at least LGPLed) code;
b) I do not necessarily trust;
American Express
AOL Time Warner
Bell Canada Enterprises
France Telecom
General Motors
Global Crossing
Hewlett-Packard
Mastercard International
Nokia
NTT DoCoMo
Openwave
RealNetworks
RSA Security
Sony Corporation
Sun Microsystems
United Airlines
Vodafone
so OSDN should do it - yea it is a corporation, but hopefully, SlashLogin (or whatever) won't go down the Sourceforge path, and will actually be open.
c) NukeAccount - OK, say I trust OSDN, what if a court says - OSDN must provide user 325435's account details etc. or what if it get's sucked into the vortex of an evil empire campany - I want to be able to nuke my account - permanently.
