Agreed. Most news stories about EV's talk about the number of dead chargers. Why wouldn't the "casual" EV driver assume that every working charger is like the last watering hole? It's the reality that the news outlets have created. Once the CCS to NACS adopters become common, I hope the issue goes away.
But it isn't. Most of New England's homes use oil to heat their houses and provide hot water. I'm guessing the government isn't paying to replace any of those furnaces soon.
Air conditioners have become the latest Boogey man. "They'll put a load on the grid its not ready for!!" However, it's ready for everyone to switch to an EV?? How does that make any common or scientific sense? Except for their belief that AC is bad and EV's are good.
