The matrix has something everyone can appreciate (Score 1)

I personally loved the Matrix and so did several of my other friends. The movie was the paramount as far as movie going is concerned as I still can't shake the stupor I felt when I found out what the Matrix really was. I saw the movie twice and it was the first movie in years I thought was worth seeing. That doesn't make me a geek, it makes me free minded enough to envision a world without the conventional maya(the wool pulled over your eyes) that leds many of us to believe that the world is purely what we perceive(read Hyperspace by Michio Kaku it is the perfect demonstration of this fact).

I for one loved the blend of eastern philosophies and virtual technocracy. From Buddhism, to Taoism to virtual AI this movie has everything, I can only hope that Star Wars doesn't put me to sleep before I see Darth Maul kick butt.
