Comment Re: I've still got iTunes (Score 1) 131

I bought an ipod many years ago and expected it to work like that. Once I found out that it didn't, and I started tinkering with iTunes, that piece of shit went back in the package and back to Wal Mart. My Apple music experience lasted about one hour. One restriction and imposed requirement after another.

Agreed. And by doing this and eliminating subsidies we can bring beef prices where they should be, greatly reducing consumption. You would have to clamp down on the production of sugar and refined flour at the same time or people would shift to eating more of those accelerating the epedemic caused by those agricultural byproducts being marketed and consumed on a mass scale. Those "foods" have already caused most of the chronic health conditions that are enriching the hospitals who are ruining our Healthcare for profit.

You are on to something for sure. I agree and I have often puzzled at how people learn or understand New things by sayinb they are like something else they think they understand. Using metaphore to grasp new ideas or concepts. It's easy to become comfortable with metaphoric understanding that is all completely unprovable or just plain wrong. In many areas at many levels of intellect. When I'm puzzled by something new and the light bulb comes on because someone says: "it's like such and such" I have to remind myself that the moment of enlightenment may not be enlightment at all.

Comment Credit report monitoring? (Score 1) 36

With all of the breaches that have happened I already have multiple companies that owe me years of credit reporting services. How are they all reconciled? Equifax and Yahoo, and others, all owe me two years or more. Who pays for what years? And at this rate credit report monitoring is something I will never have to pay for and it's a service I don't need since I pay attention to my credit report through various services. Time for GDPR and giving consumers complete control over who views thier credit report--including the reporting bureaus. Stop letting people open accounts without my releasing of the credit report lock. Stop compiling information about me and leaving it online ffs.
