eldavojohn writes: "Our favorite inciter John Dvorak is advising Apple to cease all efforts on the iPhone citing the mobile handset business as a "buzz saw waiting to chop up newbies." He also made the harsh statement that "there is no likelihood that Apple can be successful in a [cellphone] business this competitive." Dvorak once again demonstrates his ability to garner attention through outrageous statements."

Anonymous Coward writes: "New Scientist's technology blog reports that Dyson, the UK company that reinvented the vacuum cleaner, is recruiting robotics engineers. They're looking for people with experience of machine vision and mobile robots that create their own maps. Are Dyson hoping to take on the Roomba with a much more sophisticated machine?"
